The Berson/Aquionics - 2-43-156 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a guaranteed UV replacement light bulb that provides you with worry-free performance for a whole year. The 8.5" lamp is compatible with germicidal OEM Water sterilization filters, UV sanitizers and water purifiers. The lamp uses UV light at a short wavelength of 253.7nm that kills and destroys microorganisms such as virus, protozoa, yeast, molds and bacteria. The replacement germicidal bulb is best used to purify water. Treating water using the UVC method is a purely physical process and does not involve the use of chemicals and their byproducts. This method is eco-friendly as it involves low mercury dosage.
