Glasco UV 1808 Replacement UVC Light Bulb
The Glasco UV 1808 Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a 100% equivalent germicidal replacement bulb for Glasco Ultraviolet 1808.
The replacement bulb is an effective treatment against molds, bacteria, protozoa, yeast and virus. The UVC light bulb gives a 12 months worry-free germ disinfection power. The light bulb emits a short wavelength of 253.7 nm that destroys pathogens such as giardia and cryptosporidium present in water. The light bulb has a total length of 61.22" and an arc length of 58.66" and is set in a ceramic base material. UV purifiers and their lamps are highly cost-effective and do not use chemicals to purify water. The UV purified water is safe for consumption and does not alter the pH or taste of water. Experts are of the opinion that the UV light bulb must be replaced annually for efficiency as the light bulb may continue to emit UV light even after a year but may not be effective in destroying waterborne microorganisms.
