CureUV’s General Electric GBX9/UVC Replacement UVC Light Bulb has a total length of 7.40" and a lamp voltage of 60V. With an arc length of 4.53", the replacement light bulb has two pin G23 on a single end and has ceramic as its base material. The bulb has a rated life of 10,000 hours after which we recommend that you replace the bulb for efficient results. The air, water and surface treatment bulb is a 9 watt germicidal bulb that kills microorganisms present in water. The light bulb emits a wavelength of 253.7nm that acts on the DNA of the microorganisms and renders them harmless. The UVC light bulb works well for germicidal OEM water filters, UV purifiers, and UV sanitizers. Research states that UVC light technology is effective against bacteria, molds, viruses, yeast and protozoa.

It does not alter the pH, chemistry or taste of water. The UVC purification method is both economic and environmental friendly and is a much better option to chemicals and their bi-products.
