QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
If you have a system with two tanks and salt bin do you need a UV water purification system also.
It depends on the exact system you have but what you are referring to is most likely a water softener system. Many people who have water softener systems also have water purification systems. Whether you need it or not depends on the purity of the water supply to your house. One thing you can try is to get a water quality tester on Amazon (they should be less than 30 dollars). Based upon those results, you can determine whether it is worth the investment to get a UV water purification system. This can also be useful to test your water supply on a regular basis in case there are changes upstream that may affect you. We hope this is useful. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
UV Water Filtration systems take water purification to a higher level.
Provide a safe solution to combat chlorine-resistant microorganisms such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium and a host of other waterborne virus and bacteria present in your water. Standard filters may be effective at removing grit, metals and other larger pieces of sediment, they may also improve the taste of your water, but they can't kill micro-organisms. That's where UV plays a vital role in water sanitation.
UV-C light at a particular wavelength, 253.7nm, begins to break down DNA and stops the bacteria, fungus, virus from reproducing, leaving water sanitized. This process has been used in municipal water treatment plants throughout Europe for over 30 years and is now becoming commonplace at water treatment plants in the US too. It is now also available to you, for your home, business, workplace, school, restaurant, anywhere you have running water a UV Water Purifier can be added inline!
CureUV carries a wide and extensive selection of UV water purifiers in range of sizes, flow rates and configurations. Not sure which one best fits your needs, then give us a call and one of our expert sales team will gladly help you out and find the best system for you!
