The clear plate undergoes strict quality control measures. An ordinary glass plate may not be able to withstand extreme temperatures in a curing lamp unit. This is why a quartz plate is used. It protects lamps from debris and works as a filter between curing system and lamp. Studies show that a quartz plate effectively prevents dirt, grit and contaminants from building up in the lamp.

Replacement lamps are important component in the print drying system. It dries inks and coatings in signs and graphics and the quartz glass plate protects lamp by working as a filter. A quartz plate is usually placed between the lamp and the substrate and does not absorb the UV rays unlike ordinary glass plate but reradiates the rays at a temperature lower than the lamp. Cleaning the plate periodically keeps your lamp working in good condition.
