The clear fused UV plate is subjected to strict quality control measure. A normal glass plate will not be able to withstand the high temperatures, which is why a quartz plate is used in UV replacement curing lamps. The quartz plate has the following dimensions:

The quartz glass plate protects lamps from debris and works as a filter between the lamp and the curing system. The plate prevents grit, dirt and contaminants from building up.
