Glasco 1708 Replacement UVC Light Bulb
Glasco UVC light bulbs are used in superior and high-quality American-made sanitization units designed for disinfection, TOC reduction, Ozone destruction, chlorine destruction, chloramine destruction, and a variety of applications. Glasco germicidal lamps offer almost constant UV output over their complete lifetime for maximum security of disinfection and high system efficacy.
The lamp bulb has a length of 33.18 inches and an arc length of 29.92 inches. The light bulb is compatible with germicidal OEM water disinfection filters, UV water purifiers, and sanitizers. The UVC light bulb has a rated life of 10,000 hours after which we highly recommend that you replace the light bulb for better efficiency even if it continues to emit light. The UV lamp has a peak output of 253.7 nm that acts on the DNA of the containments present in water such as yeast, cyst, virus, bacteria, and protozoa, and renders them incapable of reproducing. The energy reacts photo-chemically with the genetics of the microorganism and prevents them from reproducing.
Germs that cause harmful bacteria and microorganisms such as Vibrio cholera, influenza virus, hepatitis virus strains, and organisms causing gastroenteritis can easily be destroyed with this method of purification. Since UV filters do not alter the pH and taste or introduce chemicals in water, it is a purely physical state of change and a far better alternative to chlorination.
This UVC Light Bulb is a 100 % Equivalent Germicidal Replacement for the Glasco #1708.
