The Lancaster Pump 7-6 Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a four pin on a single end 22 Watts light bulb that has a total length of 17.72" and an arc length of 14.57". The UVC light bulb has ceramic as its base material and can run efficiently for 10,000 hours after which we recommend that you replace the light bulb for maintaining the system’s germ-destroying capabilities. The replacement bulb is best used for the following germicidal UVC system models:
- LBR-12
- LUV-7E
- LUV-10E
The UVC light technology destroys bacteria, molds, parasites and other harmful pathogens in water. The short wavelength emitted by the light bulb at a frequency of 253.7nm enables to effectively destroy the DNA of the microorganisms rendering them incapable of reproducing. The UVC light bulb gives you a 12 months worry free operation. Water treatment using the UVC method requires no handling of chemicals and it does not need any specialized storage. The UVC treatment of water does not cause change in odor, taste, chemistry and pH of water. This method is a preferred method of water treatment from chemicals and their byproducts.
