OASE - Filtoclear 3000 UV Light Bulb is 9 watts and 100% compatible with germicidal OEM Water sterilization filters, UV sanitizers and water purifiers.
This lamp also uses UV-C light to inactivate and kill bacteria, molds, protozoa, viruses and yeasts. This replacement germicidal bulb has a 2 pin U bend base on a single end that is used for water purification. The fixture is high quality with a long lifespan and low mercury dosage to meet environmental demands.
This ultraviolet purification lamp is instant starting and utilizes a coil filament, which operates hot. The UV lamp life is governed by the life of the electrodes and is affected by the frequency of starting. How can you tell the light is working after installing in oase 3000?
Ali,
If the question is: How to tell the bulb is on?....please be sure that if checking that the light is working you are taking the precautions and wearing protective gear (glasses). Once the unit is on the bulb should have a light purple/blue color. However, you shouldn't look at the light directly.
Now, if you are asking how to tell if the light is being effective.....some of the UVC lights can happen instantaneously. However, if this is being installed into a pond or aquarium depending on the size and area the UVC bulb may take longer to sanitize. You will in the end see signs of effectiveness.
