Single Pin Double Ended - 41 Watt Germicidal Water Treatment Bulb
Our UV Doctor 16678 Replacement UVC Light Bulb is a single-pin double-ended ozone-producing light bulb with an arc length of 30.12" and a total length of 33.19". With a peak output of 185nm, UV Lamp generates ultraviolet energy which is proven to effectively produce ozone, a natural sanitizer and deodorizer. A 185 nm UV light produces UV energy in wavelengths shorter than 220 nm which decompresses oxygen to produce ozone. The light bulb lasts 10,000 hours after which we highly recommend replacing it for better performance.
UVC ozone lamps remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as mercaptans, sulfides, and ammonia. One of the advantages of ozone light is that it can be transported through the air to places where direct UV exposure cannot reach.
This process of water purification is a purely physical process and does not alter the chemistry, pH, or taste of water. It is also an environment-friendly option and is better than chemicals and their bi-products. Many people believe that the system enables a safe solution against microorganisms such as giardia and cryptosporidium that are considered to be chlorine-resistant. The replacement bulb works with germicidal OEM water disinfection filters, UV sanitizers, and Ultraviolet water purifiers.
