The Viqua VH410 UVC Light Bulb is a 4-pin stepped on a single end - 45-watt germicidal water treatment bulb that has a total length of 20.08 inches. The light bulb has a lamp quartz diameter of 15mm and a peak output of 253.7nm. This short wavelength helps in destroying pathogens in water and makes them incapable of reproducing.

This UVC bulb comes with a four pin on a single end configuration. The 10 Watt UVC bulb features a wavelength with a lethal effectiveness of up to 254nm. This disrupts the microorganism's DNA and renders them harmless. Measuring 20.08 inches in length, this UVC lamp has a life of up to 10,000 hours. With this UV lamp, you get a 12-month worry-free operation after which we recommend that you replace the light bulb.

We offer two versions of this UV-C bulb; a good quality foreign-made generic replacement unit and an ultra-high quality US-made unit. Both lights are guaranteed to be 100% compatible with the Viqua VH410

Do I need shatterproof coating?

Although shatterproof coating can lower the intensity of the UV-C bulb by as much as 15%, it is recommended for applications in which it is crucial to avoid potential glass breakage at all costs. These applications include but are not limited to food processing and medical institutions. However, if glass breakage would be inconvenient but not catastrophic, skipping the costly shatterproof coating is quite alright. After all, we do not use shatterproof coating with our glasses and plates at home. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot.
