The Wedeco/Ideal Horizons - ME-7 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a guaranteed replacement UV bulb that gives you a trouble-free performance for a whole year. The 22 watts UV bulb has four pin on a single end base and a bulb shape of T5. The ceramic lamp bulb has a wavelength range of 254nm and this wavelength destroys the genetics of the microorganisms and renders them incapable of reproduction.
This method of water purification is a pure physical process and does not affect the pH, composition and chemistry of water, a far better option to chemicals and their bi-products.
The germicidal water treatment bulb comes with a shatterproof coating that protects the lamp during damage. The coating also keeps the lamp glass from falling into the unit. This results in easy disposal of glass if it shatters and renders it easy to operate the system. All you will need to do is to select the option above. The UV lamp starts instantly and makes use of a coil filament that operates hot. The UV lamp is managed by the life of electrodes and works well for the following applications that require UVC intensity:
